Songs that could/should/would be on a Tarantino soundtrack Vol. I

I used to wish someone would put together a playlist with songs they see fitting for a Tarantino flick. But nobody did, so I’ll do it.

These are the kind of songs that make me think of dark velvet clubs, red mouths and slow motion cigarette smoke, guns, driving and girls leaning on jukeboxes.

1. Jacke & The Cedrics - Squad Car

2. Los Angeles Negros - Tante Adios

3. Little Ann - Going down a one-way street

4. Ace of Cups - Circles

5. Greenhornes - There is an End

6. Etta James - Sunday Kind of Love

7. Al Green - For the Good Times

8. Euroboys - Monkeyface

9. Sam & Dave - Hold on! I’m Comin’

10. Super Erotico - Love is Blue

11. Sharon Tandy - Stay with me

12. (bonus) Pam Grier - Long Time Woman

not gonna lie - really into this mix. go get it here:

Palais Schaumburg - S/T (1980)

Palais Schaumburg was a new wave/avant garde band formed in 1980 in Hamburg, Germany. The line-up included F.M. Einheit who’s actually from the town I grew up in. Unfortunately he left the group before the release of their first self-titled LP to join Einstuerzende Neubauten.

Here’s their first release which I absolutely love.
